REFLECTION LOGS
15/06/21 - CV Research
This week I researched CV designs to see what made one successful. I used this research to help me make a start on designing my own CV as I did not have one before this lesson. First, I found several examples of CVs and listed what I liked and disliked about them and used the aspects that I liked from each of them and tried to incorporate them into my CV so that it would appeal to employers. After this, I created a flat plan for my CV to plan out what information I was going to include, what fonts I was going to use and what my layout and colour scheme would look like. I settled on a minimalistic design with a white background and light green banners to highlight the headings.
22/06/21 - Making my CV
This week, I began working on my CV. I used the website canva to make my new CV as it has many templates and tools that help with making a good looking CV. I searched for a template similar to the one I had designed for my flat plan and adjusted the information and some of the format to look like how I envisioned it. I listed the key information that every CV should have such as my skills, education and contact information. In addition to that, I included some more in depth information about myself and my ambitions to show employers my passions and plans for the future.
