I think my final product could’ve turned out better if I had included a contact page and a way to access the links on my slides. Since I imported my slides as jpegs, I didn’t realise the links wouldn’t work so, if I had to do it differently, next time I would paste my work and include the links. To improve, I will add the links below my slideshows in order of appearance so that visitors have access to them. To further improve on this, I will be adding a contact page and a live chat button. The contact page will have my contact information in case visitors would like to ask questions or are interested in my work.
I think I was successful in communicating my personality in my website through my colour scheme and typography. From the feedback I received from peers, many of them liked my colour scheme because it was simplistic and communicated positivity. This means that I was successful in communicating my personality and fit the minimalistic style my target audience said they enjoyed, but was unsuccessful in having an elegant theme. From feedback I have received, some of the fonts I chose made my website feel more childish than what I was intending. If I could do this work again, I would change my font choices so that instead of making my website seem childish, they make it feel more elegant and professional to build my credibility and professionalism.
Feedback I have received from my target audience has been that the animations I had were a nice touch and that the pop up stickers on my title pages were a nice decorative detail that didn’t make the website feel too formal or too childish. Another piece of feedback I received was that my website was very organised which made finding my work easy; no aspects of my website were confusing.
When compared to website examples I gave them in my questionnaire, the text on my website was clearly visible and there was enough text on the homepage to make the visitor feel welcome but not too overwhelmed.
Overall, I am pretty happy with the final product as it has been described as organised which means I have succeeded in making the presentation neat and the navigation easy. I am also happy with the structure for each page as I did not use a template for my website and designed it from scratch yet I was still able to structure it in a way that was organised and easy to navigate through.
